Legal Toolkit

FIRE works with various international, educational, government and private enterprises to research & understand the needs of the organisation and buildscustomised teaching manual, reference handbook, e-learning programs for its personnel or civil society in general. Subject areas cover cybersafety, netiquette, cybersecurity, handbook for trainers, academicians, law enforcement officers or civil society on diverse legal issues such as women’s rights, or rights of senior citizens.

Methodology

A baseline study of an organisation’s work flow and roleplay of different personnel is studied using questionnaire & interview method.Assessment is made on areas that require clarification or where training is necessary. Legal & cyber literacy programs with teaching materials are then framed in form of handbooks, with glossary, questions and important tips.

Projects

FIRE recently along with i-probono drafted a legal tookit, Child victims of Online crime on request of National Commission of Child Rights, for benefit of 10,000 + investigators across India dealing with online crimes against children.The handbook explains the various offences under POCSO Act and the IT Act,2000 , using case studies, illustrations and examples.
